timr supports 5 different ways to plan your tasks:
- No Planning
- Task Hourly Rates
- Users Hourly Rates
- Fixed Price
- Planned by parent
1. No Planning:
You can choose this type if there is no budget for this task. Tasks with this planning type are not displayed in the Budget Dashboard.
2. Task Hourly Rate:
Choose this if you charge by the hour based on an hourly rate. If you have a project which consists of different tasks, you can charge different rates based on the task, e.g. "Project Management" has a different hourly rate than "Development" in your company.
3. Users Hourly Rate:
Choose this if you charge by the hour based on an hourly rate per employee. For example, if you have 5 people working on a task and the foreman is charged with a different hourly rate you should use this planning type.
4. Fixed Price:
Choose this type if you've soled a task for a certain amount and now have to ensure that it's done within this budget.
5. Planned by parent:
This planning type is only available on subtasks.
Tasks can be structured like Customer/Project/Task, ... in timr. If you've soled a project for a fixed price and the project has some subtasks, like 'Project Management", 'Development', 'Testing' but you don't need to monitor the budget for subtasks in detail, you can choose "Planned by parent" on the subtasks and only define and monitor the budget for the project itself.
