1. Request leave
In order to request leave go to "Requests > Vacation & Absence" and choose "+ Vacation & Absence" in the top right corner.
Alternatively you can click directly on the date in the calendar view to create a request.
You can now request your leave
As soon as you have requested your leave, you can view your request in "Requests > Vacation & Absence. As long as it's not approved it will be listed as "requested".
If your boss/administrator approves your request, it will be shown as "approved".
Furthermore, you will receive an email every time the status of your request changes.
2. Change or cancel leave request
In the "Requests > Vacation & Absence" menu you can see all your requests - whether they still have the status "requested" or they have been already approved or rejected.
You can change a request any time as long as it has not been approved or rejected by an admin. If a request has already been approved you can request changes, for example, an extension of your vacation or a cancellation.
Note: You have more than one option to change and edit requests. In the following we will show you the recommended way via the dropdown menu in the request list. However, you also have the option to directly click on the request concerned in the calendar view, for example.
2.1. Extend vacation with status "requested"
If your leave request has not yet been approved, you can change it any time according to your needs.
2.2. Extend already approved leave
In case your leave request has already been approved and you want to extend your vacation you can simply add a new request.
2.2. Completely change or cancel already approved request
In case you want to change an already approved request you have to request a cancellation first. To cancel an approved vacation do the same.
You have the possibility to add the reason for your cancellation request.
In case you want to request new leave you now add a new leave request according to your needs.
3. Calendar view
In the calendar view you can see all your requests - whether they still have the status "requested" or they have been already approved or rejected.
