How to activate the GPS Tracking (Android Team Tracking App)

timr allows you to track your position via GPS. To learn more about the Location Services in timr read this article. You don't have to use the location service if you don't want to.

If the GPS tracking feature is disabled on your smartphone, you will be asked soon after starting the timr app if you want to activate the GPS tracking feature.

If you don't grant timr location service access, you can change this later in your smartphone settings.

1. Enable/Disable position tracking on your Android Smartphone

To enable the GPS tracking on your smartphone go to your smartphone settings, to "Location & securtiy".

In the "Location & securtiy settings" you see the feature "Use GPS satellites".

Enable the feature by activating the small box on the right side of "Use GPS satellites".

2. Position Tracking in the timr App

The timr Android App shows a cross-hairs icon on the top if GPS is active.

2.1. Disable GPS Tracking in timr

You can also disable the GPS Tracking only for timr. Go in your timr App to "Settings". Scroll down to "General", there you have the settings "Position Tracking". 

To disable the Position Tracking feature deactivate the small box on the right side of "Position Tracking".
