You have the possibility to activate e-mail notifications in timr. The following options are available:
1. 'Your timr is still running...' notification
3. Notification of status changes of requests
4. Specify Email address for invoicing
1. 'Your timr is still running...' Notification
If you sometimes forget to stop timr before leaving the office, you can configure a notification. Simply configure the time at which you're most likely no longer working and if you forget to stop timr in the future you’ll be notified within the same day through this reminder. Thus you can stop your running recording immediately. This enables you to really finish time tracking for your working day right on the same day.
In the timr android app you have in addition icon notifications. You'll find here more information about the notifications in the timr android app.
If you or your employees forget to stop timr before leaving the office, you'll get a 'Your timr is still running...' notification. The default value for the reminder for every user is 6:00 PM. The notification can be configured individually by each user and works for Working and Project time tracking.
1.1. Configuring Notifications for Yourself
To configure the 'Your timr is still running...' notification for yourself, go to your name in the menu bar on the left side and click on "Settings".
In the area "Email" you can now choose if and from which time on you would like to get a notification if your timr is still running.
1.2. Configuring Notifications for Employees as an Admin
For each user in your timr account, the admins can define if and at which time the user should get the 'Your timr is still running...' Reminder. Go to "Administration/Users". Click on the edit symbol on the left side of the user and choose "Edit user". Go to "Email Settings" and enable the small box on the left side of "Reminder Running Records" . Choose a time and click on "Save".
2. timr Newsletter
We’re using the timr newsletter to periodically update you about new timr features, training opportunities, App updates, etc. By default, the newsletter is disabled for an employee. In order to update your employees about new features and e.g. allow them to automatically update the Apps by themselves, it is important that your employees also activate the newsletter. Of course the employees can activate the newsletter also individually.
2.1. Activate the timr Newsletter individually
To register for the timr newsletter for yourself, go to your name in the menu bar on the left side and click on "Settings".
In the area "Email" you can now activate the timr newsletter.
2.2. Activate the newsletter as admin for the users
If you're the admin you can define for each user of the timr account, it they get the timr newsletter. Go to "Administration/Users". Click on the edit symbol on the left side of the user and choose "Edit user". In the user properties go to "Email Settings", enable the small box on the left side of "Newsletter" and click on "Save".
3. Notification of status changes of requests
If you use the leave request features, you have the possibility to activate notifications for the requests. This way you will receive an email notification when the status of a request changes.
3.1. Activate status change notification for yourself
In your personal settings you can activate notifications of status changes for leave requests.
3.2. Activate status change notification as admin
As administrator you can activate notifications about status changes of leave requests for each user individually in the user administration: Edit User > Email Settings.
4. Specify Email address for invoicing
If invoices are to be sent to e.g. to your accounting department instead of the account holder, you can specify an email address for this purpose.
Under the menu item "Account" you will find the section "Email address for invoicing", there you can provide the new email address.
