1. Add Users
You have two possibilities for adding a user in timr: You can add a user manually or you can send a user invitation.

1.1. Invite Users
You can invite one ore more users in one step by choosing "Invite Team".

You can now enter their email addresses.

Each employee will be created automatically as a user in timr and will receive an email with a link for creating their own password.
1.2. Adding a User manually
To add a new user please open the tab "Users" in the "Administration". Click on "Add User" on the top right and the user properties dialog appears.

As Login you can specify with which name this user can "Login". Enter now his "Name" and a corresponding "Email address".
There are two ways to set the user password:
a) Setting the password as an Administrator
You can set the password as an administrator by choosing “Set Password”.
b) Sending an Invitation
You can send the user an invitation. The user then can choose the password himself from the beginning. For this go to “Invite User” and “Send Invitation”.
c) Changing the Password
In "Working time" you can change the work schedule model, change the annual vacation entitlement, or define an overtime allowance.
In the user properties you can assign tasks to the user. Just click on "Assign Tasks". A small box opens and shows you your whole task structure. Choose now the tasks you want to assign to this user. You can choose for example a client with projects and tasks but also a single project or a single task. You see immediately all assigned tasks in the background and if necessary you can remove them there by clicking on the X symbol on the left side right next to the task.

1.5. Assign Cars
In the user properties you can assign cars to each user. Just click on "Assign Cars". A small box opens and shows you all cars in your fleet.

1.6. Assign Organizations (Enterprise Plan
In the user properties you can assign each user to an organization. This user will be a member of the selected organization. Just click on "Assign Organizations".

1.7. Define User Rights
If you define that the user is no administrator, you can even assign him the right to create tasks. This feature allows you to assign different rights to your single users. For example, you want your employee Thomas Amstrong to create tasks, because he is a sales agent, but he shouldn't be able to define administration settings.
You'll find more details in the documentation about timr user rights.

1.8. Email Settings
You find all details about the Email Settings here.

2. Edit Users
Editing users is possible any time.

This way, you can change the email address or the login, or you can change the work schedule model, for example.
NOTE: Make sure to save your changes!
3. Disable Users
If an employee leaves your company you can disable him/her in timr. You can still create reports and analysis for this user, but the user isn't able anymore to track times. To disable an user just click on the small blue wheel on the left side of the user and choose "Disable User".

You can disable an user also manually. Just insert a date in the field "Resigned" in the user properties dialogue.

3.1. Filter for active/inactive Users
The default setting for the filter "Status" is "Active", that means timr shows you only the active users.

If you filter for "Status" "All", you will see all active users and also all inactive users or you can filter just for inactive users.
4. Enable Users
It is possible to enable disabled users again.
In order to do so go to "Administration/Users" and filter for the status "Resigned". In the list of users below click now on the edit symbol of the user concerned and choose "Enable User".
