1. Create organizations
2. Create suborganizations
3. Move or Merge elements
In the Enterprise Plan, you can use the Organization feature to map the company organization or structure with departments, teams, and so on. In this article you will learn how to create an organization and sub-organizations and assign members.
1. Create organizations
Under Administration/Organization click on "Add element".
In "Properties" you define a name and, if desired, enter a description.
2. Create suborganizations
You can create as many suborganizations as you want for each organization. Click the edit menu to the right of the desired organization and select "Add Subelement". You can also create additional sublevels.
3. Move or Merge elements
If you want to change the structure at a later point, this can be done using drag & drop. You can move suborganisations and either insert them as a subelement of another organisation or bring them to the top level as an independent organisation.
3.1. Moving a suborganization to the top level
If you want to move a suborganization to the top level, click on it and hold down the mouse button. Drag the task to the top level of your organizational structure and release the mouse button. The element is automatically inserted at the top level.
3.2. Moving a subelement within the structure
If you want to keep the suborganization, but simply subordinate it to another organization, click on the relevant suborganization and drag it with the mouse to the desired position in the structure.
You will then be asked what to do with that element. Choose "Move as subelement":
3.3. Merging different organizations
If the organizational structure is too fine-grained, you can also merge organizational elements with each other. To do this, drag the element onto the one with which you want to merge it. As soon as you let go, the following action menu opens up:
Choose "Merge with target element". This will delete the moved element and will merge it into the target element.
Note: If you have already assigned explicit leaders, members and/or tasks to the moved element, these are automatically transferred to the target organization. An implicit leader will not be transferred.
